Factors to be considered when installing solar power system

If you are considering installing off grid solar power generation system for your house, it is definitely a good decision to complement electricity. To be sure, for small home systems, even if you are not a professional solar expert, you can install your own solar system.

The installation of solar system is not difficult and the tools required are not complex, but there are many factors to be considered when installing solar inverter.

The things needed to install the solar system include: photovoltaic modules, batteries, inverters, cables, photovoltaic combiner boxes, supports, controllers and some installation tools.

Before installing the solar system, the following problems need to be clarified:

1. Household appliances

First of all, you can list the main electrical loads and household appliances, which add up to its total rated power. Then the daily power consumption is obtained according to its rated power and the number of service hours in a day. At the same time, try to reserve an allowance for the output rate based on the maximum total power of the common household appliances you want to run.

For example

Home appliances: TV

Rated power: 100 watts

Quantity: 2 pieces

Usage time: 5 hours per day

Subtotal daily power consumption: 100watts x 2pcs x 5hrs = 1000watts.

By understanding your daily or monthly electricity bill, you can further decide to use solar energy to offset some or all of your electricity. Of course, you can also get part of the supply from your urban power grid.

2. Solar panels and sunshine duration

In this section, you can further select an appropriate combination of solar panels based on the calculated total power consumption. Because most of the electric energy will be supplied to your load through the photovoltaic panel module. At the same time, the energy generated by the panel will depend on your local sunshine time. The longer the sunshine time, the more energy will be generated. Therefore, you can choose solar panels according to weather conditions and average sunshine time. Then select your solar panel size, wattage, type and quantity.

3. Night backup time

We shall recommend the wind solar complementary system. In case of weak sun, cloudy and rainy weather, or even no photovoltaic energy supply at night, the wind turbine can continue to charge the battery

4. Installation layout and occasion

You can also pay attention to the layout of your house, about its area, wiring mode, wiring length and the distance to install the solar system; Does the roof design or flat concrete floor have enough space to install solar panels?

And make sure to connect your solar system (inverter, controller, battery, solar panel and other accessories) in the correct order according to the supplier's instructions.
